The portfolios on my website haven't been updated since March. This is ridiculous and must be remedied stat. I've been pulling photos from the last six months worth of sessions and I think when I'm done the pictures currently displayed will completely disappear. fiddle dee dee
We finally put up our tree! I can't decide if our tree looks tiny or Deran looks like a giant, but he was actually standing on a chair. The pugs were real helpful. The bows from last year were not in the same box, oh how I loved those candy-cane stripes!
While we put up our tree it snowed. Not as much as last year, but exciting nonetheless.
It did fall heavily for a bit but sadly it didn't really stick. Boo. If you look closely you can see the fall colors of the trees. The leaves around here are finally changing colors and I'm loving it!
While the blizzard raged on outside, it was decided I should make a pot of chili for dinner. Decorating the Christmas tree makes Deran hungry.
No worries Internet, Daddy was just being silly!

i'll just take the paper, minus the book
I used to buy scrapbook paper like nobody's business and yet I have not one single complete scrapbook in my house. I still have paper set aside for various future projects, but I find that I don't really use it for actual scrapbooks.
I made these prints for the nursery using scrapbook paper. I made signs for last year's middle school Valentine's dance using scrapbook paper. And I've also made CD covers using my scrapbook paper.
It all started with some paper sleeves I bought at Target on clearance. I really liked them and thought, "I can totally make those!" You know, for all the uncovered CDs I have laying around. Only I don't have naked CDs, just an abundance of covers. I started using them for client disks. I think my favorite are the wedding covers. They're just cute!
Because it's December, and because people are frantically trying to get pictures for Christmas cards, I'm showing you some of the holiday covers. So dear readers, if you find yourself with extra scrapbook paper, you now know what to do with it!

four months
Today my sweet girl is four months old. I can't believe another month has already passed! I feel like Deran and I really try to make time for extra baby cuddles because we see how quickly she's growing up.
At four months, Avery really likes: looking in the mirror, standing, playing on her mat, chewing on toys, mommy & daddy, Wonder Pets, watching the pugs, breastfeeding, and talking. She really dislikes: bottles, pacifiers, and pugs in the face. And okay, she doesn't really like talking so much as she does yelling but she has a lot to say and well, she just wants to make sure we understand.
In keeping with my love of the iPhone...

happy birthday blog
I started blogging one year ago today. Avery wanted to celebrate so I pulled out the party hats! I'll be making changes over the next few days so hang tight for a new and improved Amy Schilling Photography blog!
