ryler is one!

Well technically he's oneish - these pictures are from December!!  This is a long overdue sneak peek for my good friends Laci & Chris.  We were able to make a quick trip to Louisiana for Ryler's birthday party and then woke up early the next morning for a birthday session! Two things, 1) it was super cold and 2) he moves super fast!! 

This one just makes me laugh. :)

sixish months

Our good friends were in town over the weekend for Avery's party and while they were here we got some pictures of their sweet boy. He's actually on his way to his eight month birthday but we're going to call these his sixish month pictures! Ry was in a good mood on Saturday evening just before sunset so I grabbed my camera while someone grabbed a cute boy and we were out the back door.

He really is so cute and he has such a great head of hair! Looking back at his three-ish month pictures I can really see that he's grown so much!!

And this little guy is mobile, he's long been a crawler and a cruiser. No worries, his mom and dad were close by the next morning when we were taking these pictures.

As always, it was good to visit with our friends and I have to say that Avery was much more interested in visiting with Ryler than our last visit. Though she was a bit crazy when he came too close to certain toys. :) Maybe the next go round I'll get a photo where they're both looking at the camera, or at least each other!

three months, give or take two

First of all, I can't believe that this sweet boy was three months old before I actually made it to Louisiana to meet him! And honestly, we caught him on the eve of his fourth month! It truly doesn't seem like such a long time ago that his parents were here and we were shooting maternity photos, counting down the weeks until his arrival.

This session is long overdue for a blog post, Mr. Ry has since turned FIVE months old. And you guys, he's already up on his hands and knees getting ready to crawl! I'm so impressed and also a little nervous about our next session! :)

It's funny because I was all, COLOR! when going through this session but turns out I really loved the look of many of his photos in black and white. I especially loved this one of him and his dad. I love that Ry was kind enough to look at the camera but I really love the look on his dad's face, so much love for his boy.

L & C, thanks so much for letting me capture your seriously adorable (cutest nose ever) baby boy at three months. It was so nice to spend time with all of you and watch you both as parents.

And I just know that one day our two cuties will willingly sit by one another. :)

weddings, and babies, and bunnies! oh, my!

I've had a busy couple of weeks and it looks like things won't be slowing down any time soon! Easter is Sunday, and I know it's about more than bunnies and candy-filled baskets, but I don't have a single thing for Avery. I haven't even figured out what she'll be wearing to church! I did pick up a very cute pair of cream dressy shoes from Old Navy recently, so I at least know what shoes she'll wear.

I have a really gorgeous wedding to share this week. I was hoping to get it up tonight, but I had such a hard time narrowing down my favorites! So in the meantime, I'm going to share one from a session I had on Saturday with a great friend and her totally adorable baby boy! And I'll have more to share from his session soon...or at least soonish! :)
