kaley | a beautiful october bride

I met Kaley for bridals over Labor Day weekend and Internet, if you could have seen the thunder storms!!  It was pouring down rain on my way downtown and then it stopped and we had the most perfect weather for over an hour.  Amazing.  

Congratulations Kaley, you were a gorgeous bride!  Thanks so much for choosing me to be a part of your wedding last weekend, I can't wait to share some photos from your special day!!

william & leann | the reception

Much like their wedding, William and LeAnn's reception was so much fun to be a part of!  There were so many gorgeous floral arrangements and I loved all of the delicate details on the cake table and bride and groom's table. 

Photographing a reception is always fun when the guests are having a good time.  I don't think there was ever a dull moment on the dance floor!  And I know the bride and groom's first dance is very special, and I promise there are lots of photos of the two of them, but there was just something about this father/daughter dance that pulled on my heartstrings.  They were really sweet!

And before I knew it, the night was coming to an end with a couple of sweet baby boys and lots of bubbles.

Congratulations William & LeAnn!  Thanks so much for choosing me to photograph your special day.  I'm hesitant to even say "Best Wishes" for the future because in spending the day with both of you, I know your future together will be filled with lots of happiness and friends and family by your side!

 

william & leann | october 21, 2011

This gorgeous October wedding took place at Amber Springs and it was the perfect start to my weekend of weddings.  I loved so many things about this day and this bride, starting with the her dress.  It was so beautiful and she looked absolutely gorgeous in it!

 

LeAnn's crafty sister-in-law made the ring bearer's pillow.  Though she is pretty crafty herself and actually made matching bracelets for her wedding party! 

LeAnn and William were truly so much fun to photograph and we had plenty of time because these two opted for a first look.  Just one more reason why I think they are fabulous!

There was even time for an impromptu stick fight before the ceremony!  No ring bearers or grooms were harmed. ;)

I would consider these guys to be a few of the bride's most beloved boys - her two brothers, her groom, and her dad.

I'll be back tomorrow with scenes from their after party.  And you don't want to miss it!  Beautiful floral arrangements, vintage flair, and amazing sweets.  Not to mention some crazy good dancers! :)






 

it's the people that matter

Much like the wedding post, I'm sharing this reception a little late. But better late than never, right? Right?! Yes, yes that's right. We left the church shortly after the ceremony was over and headed downtown to a lovely restaurant. The bride and groom were kind enough to include the photographer and DJ for dinner, so I can tell you first hand that the meal was delicious!

In talking with the bride and groom before the big day, they both stressed the importance of capturing the guests. It's the people that matter and when it's all said and done, they wanted to look back on the friends and family who celebrated along side them. So that's what I did, I photographed the guests. Mostly when they knew to look my way...

And sometimes when they didn't. :)

There were lots of sweet moments between the bride and groom. Many glasses clinking for them to steal another kiss.

And I'd like to point out that this pair could get down. Literally! They had a great DJ and it didn't take long for the crowd to fill the dance floor.

And I'll be honest, I may have had a little skip in my step as I moved around. He played some good tunes!

After a little cake and a sweet toast by the best man, this couple ended the night much like it began...with a lot of love and a dance.

love is reassuring

This wedding post is long overdue, but I'm so happy to finally be sharing a few photos! Everything about this day was gorgeous, the church, the flowers, the reception site, and especially the people. And I know this isn't about me, but I really had a great time! :) The atmosphere was so relaxing and the bride was an absolute dream to work with!

After spending some time with the bride, I got the groom and his friends outside for a couple of pictures. It was so funny to watch these guys try to pin on the boutonnieres! The groom and his best man have been friends for a long time, with a friendship dating back to middle school. In life, you're lucky to have a handful of true friends and these guys are the real deal.

I loved that they stopped to give his mom a hug before heading up the aisle. So sweet! And I love the bride's face after everything is over and official!

The bride requested a photo with all of the wedding guests and the wedding coordinator, Karen, was a huge help in making this happen quickly. And how cool to have a photo of all of your guests?!



After the ceremony I walked out with the bride and groom for a few quick photos before moving to the reception. The groom was so sweet and mentioned that he was feeling nervous but when he saw his bride walking down the aisle, he was like, "Oh yeah, it's her! Everything is alright!" And I think that's just true of love, it reassures us in the nervous moments of life.

Congrats again Mr. & Mrs. B, I know you guys have a great future ahead! And stay tuned later this week for the reception!!
