amber + geoff | a maternity session

I photographed this great couple last May, just before their wedding and again with extended family in the fall.  I was really excited to learn during that second session that Amber and Geoff were expecting!

We met downtown one evening in late May and I always enjoy my time with these two.  What a gorgeous couple!

This lovely couple has since welcomed their baby boy and he is ADORABLE!!  Congratulations, Brandy & Michael, welcome to parenthood!

This lovely couple is expecting their baby boy in just a couple of weeks, what a perfect reason to give thanks this holiday month!  

Erica & Casey, I wish you both the best as you start this new journey into parenthood.  I've said it before, but I'll say it again - there's nothing sweeter than a new baby!

made in texas | a maternity session

I met up with this couple last month and I'm so excited for them to be welcoming a baby boy in a couple of weeks!  Cassidy is such a gorgeous momma-to-be, and has the cutest baby bump!

I wish that the second half of this session had been videoed.  The forecast was cloudy with a chance of thunderstorms so I scheduled a midday shoot because I had another session that evening, but it was really sunny!  In order to get some even lighting I recruited the help of my excellent light blocking assistants, her parents and husband. :)  It was really a hoot to watch it all unfold and move everyone just so, video would have been hilarious! 

Love this sweet picture of Cassidy and her mom, who was super helpful during the whole session by the way.

And funnily enough, the pictures for the title of this post aren't even included.  They have a "made in Texas" shirt that belonged to Cassidy's older brother as a child.  It made for a cute addition to a couple of photos as this little guy was indeed made in Texas. :)

Cassidy and Jeff, thanks so much for letting me photograph such a special time.  There's nothing sweeter than a new baby and I know you both will be great parents!

another branch on the family tree

I've photographed this sweet family for the last few years and I'm so very excited to see their dreams of growing their family come true!  Sweet little Luke is set to join the family in late November and I know he will be a cherished addition. 

I've always thought this mom was beautiful, but how gorgeous does she look now?!  I'd like to know the secret to these lovely ladies I've been photographing lately!

Thanks so much for letting me document such a special time in your lives.  I'm so happy for your family!!

a sweet girl on the way

I've photographed this gorgeous mom-to-be once before and I was so excited when I was contacted about her maternity session! She has a great sense of style and she's really laid back, so basically she makes my job super easy. :)






Her parents joined us on location and even though they weren't expecting to get in a picture yet, I really loved this one of the three of them.



Just as were getting in our cars to head to the next spot, the skies turned dark gray! Thankfully the rain held off and we were able to continue. And even though I was hoping for some lovely sunset shots, from a photographer's standpoint, I LOVE shooting under heavy clouds!






I really enjoyed watching this family interact. Her dad was so funny and it's evident that she and her mom have a really great relationship. It's nice to watch a happy family just be together. :)





And how amazing is her baby belly?! Seriously cute!





As we were wrapping up, she had one request and that was to get a picture of their matching shoes. Her little girl is going to be one hip baby!



For whatever reason, I kept calling the dad-to-be Chris. Yeah, that's not his name. Book with me, I may not know your name but I'll call you something and you'll get some real nice photos! Anyway, thankfully I have awesome clients and when he finally asked if that was T's other boyfriend, she quipped, "Yeah, we took pictures with him last weekend!" Thanks so much for putting up with me you guys, it was so fun to work with all of you!

Congratulations T & C.J., I can't wait to meet Miss L in June!! And I promise, there will be no Chris' present.
